जसवंतपुरा। कस्बे के पुलिस थाना परिसर में गुरुवार को गायत्री आश्रम सांथु के महंत विष्णु स्वरूप महाराज ने पौधरोपण किया। इस दौरान महंत ने कहा कि पेड़-पौधों के बिना प्रकृति व प्राणियों के जीवन की कल्पना नही की जा सकती है। पौधे हमें फल-फूल और ऑक्सीजन देते है। उन्होंने कहा कि पेड़ धरती के श्रृंगार है पेड़ ही जीवन का आधार है। इस मौके पर महाराज ने सभी को एक-एक पौधा लगाने की अपील की।

थानाधिकारी मनीष सोनी ने कहा कि मानव जीवन को पेडों के प्रति लगन रखते हुए अधिक से अधिक मात्रा में पेड़ लगाने चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि मानव के साथ-साथ प्रकृति व वन्य जीव-जंतुओं को बचाये रखने के लिए पौधों की मत्हवपूर्ण भूमिका है। इस दौरान थाना परिसर में करीब 80 पेड़-पौधे लगाए गए। इस अवसर हैड कांस्टेबल दरियाव खा, गणपत विश्नोई, हंसाराम मीणा, कांस्टेबल लालाराम देवासी, महिला कांस्टेबल इंदु आदि उपस्थित थे।
